Yes, the Cyprus sign language was recognised on 31 March 2006 Is there any campaign to get the sign language legally recognised? There was no campaign. Before SL was recognised, the CDF (Cyprus Deaf Federation) made the suggestion to the Cyprus Parliament.

History of the NAD Can you write a brief history of the founding of the NAD? The Cyprus Deaf Federation is a secondary association of the Deaf in Cyprus. It was established in 2004 and it has member clubs all over Cyprus. Nicosia is the base of the CDF, which is also our capital.
