Mission statement of the organisation

The Romanian National Association for the Deaf (ANSR) acts to improve the social policies on the well-being, protection and non-discrimination of persons with hearing deficiencies in Romania. The scope of ANSR is to facilitate equality for persons that are hearing-disabled in all fields of the social and professional life, as the loss of hearing is irreversible.

Raising the awareness of the public opinion and the involvement of the civil society in the needs specific to persons with hearing impairment represents the first step in order to integrate the members of ANSR into the family, community and society.
