Every 4 years, EUD issues a call for candidates to stand for the EUD Board. NADs nominate individuals they think are worthy and capable to stand as board members. The EUD General Assembly conducts an election for the new iteration of the EUD board every four years. Incumbent board members are also eligible to be re-elected, if the NAD still supports their nomination. Once elected, the 5 members board is responsible and jointly oversees EUD's work and its activities. The board meets at least two times a year, but primarily four times. The EUD Board contains a president, a vice-president and three members.
The last EUD Board election took place at the General Assembly in 2017 in Malta.
The next EUD Board election will take place at the General Assembly in 2021 in Portugal.
