‘Flanders & Catalonia: comparisons and differences with regard to the status of Sign Language’

On 22^nd March 2019, Helga Stevens MEP hosted an event on ‘Flanders & Catalonia: comparisons and differences with regard to the status of Sign Language’ at the European Parliament in Brussels. The aim was to bring together the Flemish and Catalan Deaf Communities, and to discuss several themes that affect all of us. Our Executive Director, Mark Wheatley, was invited to give a presentation regarding the sign language legalisation in Europe and was given the opportunity to chair the Q&A session.
