El Pilar Europeo de Derechos Sociales (EPSR) es una iniciativa lanzada por la Comisión Europea con objetivos muy ambiciosos: recuperar la dimensión social de la UE, reequilibrar las políticas económicas con consideraciones sociales, volver a conectar con los ciudadanos europeos,
al tiempo que se abordan cuestiones clave relacionadas con los cambios en el mundo laboral y en la sociedad en general, promoviendo normas sociales más elevadas. La DUE pretende garantizar que todos los principios, y especialmente el Principio 17, se hagan realidad para las personas sordas en la UE.
