Intervjuu: Euroopa Puuetega Inimeste Foorum (EDF)

EUD Executive Director Mark Wheatley met with Catherine Naughton, Director of European Disability Forum (EDF) and discuss her thoughts from the EU review of the UNCRPD in Geneva last week. Catherine explains the role of EDF in regard to the implementation of the UNCRPD and her thoughts from being in Geneva and what issues she was positive to hear that the Committee Members asked the EU delegation or commented on.

Catherine was also positive to see that sign language was given the attention from several Committee Members and in several context, such as linked to accessible 112 emergency numbers and freedom of movement. Catherine also shares her thoughts on what she hopes will be included in the recommendations that the Committee will send to the EU delegation in the form of concluding observations today.
