Since 2008, ten sessions of the Conference of States Parties have been held at the United Nations Headquarters in New York.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-embed is-type-video is-provider-vimeo wp-block-embed-vimeo wp-embed-aspect-16-9 wp-has-aspect-ratio\"><div class=\"wp-block-embed__wrapper\">\n<iframe title=\"NYE\" src=\"https:\/\/player.vimeo.com\/video\/340516326?h=58269fbb12&amp;dnt=1&amp;app_id=122963\" width=\"800\" height=\"450\" frameborder=\"0\" allow=\"autoplay; fullscreen; picture-in-picture\" allowfullscreen><\/iframe>\n<\/div><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>For the first time EUD will attend the 12<sup>th<\/sup> session of COSP to the UN CRPD at the United Nations Headquarters in New York,&nbsp; from the 11<sup>th<\/sup> kuni 13<sup>th<\/sup> of June 2019.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>An overarching theme of the 12th session is ensuring inclusion of persons with disabilities in a changing world through the implementation of the UN CRPD. During the round table discussions participants will discuss about the technology, digitalization and ICTs for the empowerment and inclusion of persons with disabilities, social inclusion and the right to the highest attainable standard of health and inclusion of persons with disabilities in society through participation in cultural life, recreation, leisure and sports. A cross-cutting theme of the Conference is the awareness raising about the rights of people with disabilities.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Prior to the COSP, EUD will attend Civil Society Forum on the 10<sup>th<\/sup> of June, organised by the International Disability Alliance.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The updates, EUD\u2019s interventions and summary of the COSP and Civil Society Forum will be available on EUD\u2019s website after the events.
