David Buxton is currently Chief Executive of Action on Disability and Chair of the British Deaf Association. His voluntary work includes leading the BSL Act Now! Campaign to achieve legal status for BSL, gaining Parliament’s support for a BSL Bill which will, hopefully, become law in a few weeks’ time. He is one of the leading disability spokespeople for the Liberal Democrats. He was CEO of the BDA, publishing over 30 different reports, and is the author of a number of these, such as UNCRPD UK Alternative Report, House of Lords Equality Act and Disability, Scottish Parliament’s Education and Culture Committee.
