We would like to share the great news about Slovenian Association of the Deaf and Hard of Hearing (Zveza društev gluhih in naglušnih Slovenije)`s achievement this year.
They drafted a proposal to secure a national Day for the Slovenian Sign Language back in 2002 and the significant movement took place on 2 January 2014, when the Government agreed to recognise the Day of the Slovenian Sign Language on 14 November starting from 2014.
Today is the most special moment for the Slovenian Sign Language users after putting in all their efforts for the past 12 years.
We have included the link regarding their work towards their main goal. The EUD encourages other deaf associations to continue their work.
