Today, the EUD Executive Director, Mark Wheatley attended the workshop of “Towards Inclusive Development Education: It’s Our World Too” is set within the framework of supporting people with an intellectual disability to become active global citizens and engage in key development issues with policy-makers. The Towards Inclusive Development Education (TIDE) project aims at precisely this; supporting people with an intellectual disability to develop their own understanding and views on subjects such as eradicating poverty and hunger, the right to education, gender equality worldwide, environmental sustainability and the global partnership for development.
