Recently, the United Nations Committee on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities highlighted that the continued military attacks against Ukraine are putting the lives of an estimated 2.7 million people with disabilities, at risk, even though the Convention on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities, ratified by both the Russian Federation and Ukraine, requires State Parties to take all necessary measures to ensure the protection and safety of people with disabilities in situations of risk, including armed conflict and humanitarian emergencies.\u202f\u202f <\/p>\n\n\n\n
