Awareness of National Sign Languages

National sign languages recognised as official national days in Spain and Slovenia! EUD would like to congratulate our Slovenian and Spanish members to their historical achievement!

EUD strongly supports activities leading to greater awareness of national sign languages and encourages other deaf associations to co-operate with their governments to further equality for all deaf citizens in Europe.

Slovenia’s official sign language day is on 14 November, Spain has set it to 14 June.
