Generalna skupščina EUD na Dunaju, Avstrija

On the 6th of October, EUD’s 32nd General Assembly (GA) took place in Vienna, Austria, which gathered delegates from 27 national associations of the deaf (NADs). 

During the GA, EUD’s impact report of 2017 together with a financial report were presented. Moreover, the GA was an opportunity for EUD’s board members and staff to give an overview the work programme of 2018. This included the presentation and adoption of the position paper on accessibility of information and communication for the deaf, presentation of EUD’s policy work, presentation on communication and media strategy and the budget overview. Moreover, during the GA three motions were discussed. One motion was tabled by Danish Deaf Association and two motions were tabled by Doof Vlaanderen, Belgium. Furthermore, EUD’s co-operative partners, EDF, EDSO, EUDY, efsli and ENSLT had a chance to highlight the importance of collaborating and working closely with EUD.

EUD is delighted that the GA was a successful event where delegates participated actively, which lead to many fruitful discussions.
