It is focused on roaming abroad when you travel in the EU and not in your own country.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The introduction of this law prevents people from receiving appalling mobile bills whilst being abroad. The rates were too high so the EU law capped the roaming charges.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>See the changes from June 2013 to July 2013 for the UK.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>New mobile roaming price caps<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-table\"><table><tbody><tr><td>&nbsp;<\/td><td>Summer 2012&nbsp;<\/td><td>&nbsp;Summer 2013<\/td><\/tr><tr><td>Internet browsing&nbsp;<\/td><td>&nbsp;70 cents per MB<\/td><td>&nbsp;45 cents per MB<\/td><\/tr><tr><td>Making a call&nbsp;<\/td><td>&nbsp;29 cents per minute<\/td><td>&nbsp;24 cents per minute<\/td><\/tr><tr><td>Receiving a call<\/td><td>&nbsp;8 cents per minute<\/td><td>&nbsp;7 cents per minute<\/td><\/tr><tr><td>Sending a text<\/td><td>&nbsp;9 cents per SMS<\/td><td>&nbsp;8 cents per SMS<\/td><\/tr><\/tbody><\/table><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>However, since Croatia joined the EU yesterday, it faces the biggest change for those people who visit Croatia or those who have a Croatian contract coming to other EU countries.
