Euroopa platvormi kohtumine 20. aprillil 2016

On 20^th of April 2016 the European Platform of Deafness, Hard of Hearing and Deafblindness met to discuss future projects and activities it will carry out in order to raise awareness about and advocate for the rights of deaf, hard of hearing and deafblind persons in Europe.

Plans involve the development and dissemination of PR materials, such as a brochure and a roll up to make the activities of the platform known during disability-related conferences, policy papers about key European policies relevant for deaf, hard of hearing and deafblind persons as well as a common policy event to be organised in 2017.

Furthermore, the members of the Platform exchanged about relevant European policies, such as the European Accessibility Act and the implementation of the UN Convention on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities.

Finally, the Platform members kept each other apprised of developments in and activities of their organisations that are of common interest.

The next Platform meeting will take place in October 2016.
